WHO ARE WE?
EVERYTHING WE DO SHOULD BE A RESPONSE TO WHAT
GOD HAS ALREADY DONE AND CONTINUES TO DO
WE ARE GOSPEL CENTERED
Every church has a set of deeply rooted values or characteristics that define it. We often describe our church’s DNA as being “Gospel-Centered.” This means we believe the Gospel radically influences every area of our lives. There are three primary areas of the Christian life – WORSHIP, GROWTH, and SERVICE. In each of these areas we are called to respond in different ways.Learn More
WE ARE FAMILY
The church is not a building, it’s the family of God. The Gospel not only makes us children of God, but also brothers and sisters of one another. At The Response we treat each other like family. This means we choose to be vulnerable and honest about our struggles as we seek support from God and one another.Join The Family
WE ARE COMMITTED TO PREACHING THE BIBLE
At The Response we place a heavy emphasis on preaching. It’s not enough just to show our faith with actions, but we must also speak our faith with words. Preaching the Gospel is not reserved only for pastors. We are all called to daily preach the Gospel to our friends, our family, and even ourselves.
WE ARE COMMITTED TO TRAINING PEOPLE FOR MINISTRY
As the church, we are called to make disciples not just converts. We highly value evangelism but view it as only the first step of a life-long process called discipleship. We refuse to birth something that we are not willing to father.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
(2 Timothy 2:15 ESV)
WE ARE IN CONSTANT PURSUIT OF THE PRESENCE AND POWER OF GOD.
Numinous literally means manifest presence or powerful presence. Wherever the presence of God is, there should always be power. Many Christians are eager to pursue the power of God, but we want to be committed to seeking God’s presence. The truth is you cannot separate God’s power from his presence. The desire to do so reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of God’s character. If we seek his face we will always find his hand. The Response is committed to cultivating an environment where the numinous of God becomes a normal part of our daily lives.
