WHO ARE WE?
EVERYTHING WE DO SHOULD BE A RESPONSE TO WHAT
GOD HAS ALREADY DONE AND CONTINUES TO DO
WE ARE GOSPEL CENTERED
Every church has a set of deeply rooted values or characteristics that define it. We often describe our church’s DNA as being “Gospel-Centered.” This means we believe the Gospel radically influences every area of our lives. There are three primary areas of the Christian life – WORSHIP, GROWTH, and SERVICE. In each of these areas we are called to respond in different ways.Learn More
WE ARE FAMILY
The church is not a building, it’s the family of God. The Gospel not only makes us children of God, but also brothers and sisters of one another. At The Response we treat each other like family. This means we choose to be vulnerable and honest about our struggles as we seek support from God and one another.Join The Family
WE ARE COMMITTED TO BEING MISSIONAL
When God adopts us into his family we become part of the body of Christ. It’s important that we remember this body exists for a task. In the same way our physical bodies need exercise in order to be healthy, the body of Christ must exercise itself through mission to avoid growing stagnant. Our mission is to reach our city with the Gospel of Jesus.
WE ARE COMMITTED TO EQUIPPING PEOPLE FOR MINISTRY
As the church, we are called to make disciples not just converts. We highly value evangelism but view it as only the first step of a life-long process called discipleship. If we are going to be successful in our mission we must be properly equipped for the task.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
(2 Timothy 2:15 ESV)
WE ARE IN CONSTANT PURSUIT OF THE PRESENCE AND POWER OF GOD.
Wherever the presence of God is, there should always be power. Without this power nothing is possible. On our own, we can do nothing of real lasting value. In light of this, we want to cultivate a humble community of people who are learning to be dependent on the Spirit’s power for everything we do.
